Magic Potion
There was a fox
who was very sly,
he knew some magic
no one can deny.
Fox had a magic potion
that turned him invisible,
and a sticky dark lotion
to become visible.
Fox would often swallow
his magic potion,
he would become invisible
and created commotion.
A silly little monkey
was his dear friend,
but fox was cunning
he would only pretend.
He lured the monkey and
tricked him one day,
he made him invisible
and watched the play.
Invisible monkey
leaped and  jumped,
into a sleeping tiger
he foolishly bumped.
He punched a lazy bear
and poked in lion’s ear,
he pinched a big bull
and kicked a little deer.
And then silly monkey
got bored and  tired,
to remain invisible
he no longer desired.
He requested the fox
for sticky dark lotion,
but  fox was wily
he had a vile notion.
Fox gave him only
spoonful of lotion,
he had no respect
for monkey’s devotion.
Spoonful of lotion
wasn’t enough for him,
monkey became visible
but situation was grim.
Monkey was small
but he had a long tail,
he became visible
but not his long tail.
His tail was there
but couldn’t be seen,
a monkey with unseen tail
was an amusing scene.
Fox was mischievous
he thought it was fun
he provoked the bear,
who was an angry one.
For his invisible tail
monkey was teary and sad,
and the angry bear
chased him like mad.
Monkey knew that
he was  but a fool,
he had trusted a tricky fellow
and broken a golden rule.
Golden rule, my friends, is
to be wary of a wily friend
he would never be true
but would always pretend.
