Hungry Dog

A hungry dog found

a meaty bone,

and he wanted to enjoy

it all alone.

But his friends

were already there,

and they gave him

a dirty stare.

They were angry

and for a reason,

they had shared meals

all through season.

They glared and

bared their fangs,

and they were really

a nasty gang.

 Hungry dog tried

to sneak away,

but, alas, that day

was not his day.

 He chose to beat

a hasty retreat,

and with friends

he shared his treat.
